Entratech Systems was formed in the early 1980's around water in diesel fuel sensors for the marine industry. Mike Richardson, president, had spent over twenty years boating and during those years experienced an abundance of problems with water contaminated fuel, causing engines to stop along with associated engine damage. Though some sensors were available he decided to work to improve their design and quality. While working out of a garage, attic, basement and even using his kitchen as a laboratory he was able to attract the interest of a few major customers in the fuel filtration and marine outboard engine manufacturing industry. The sensors were for both diesel fuel and gasoline applications. In 1989 Entratech built its current facility in Sandusky, Ohio and has the property to expand when necessary. Entratech currently manufactures a variety of custom sensor designs along with a few off the shelf units and have hundreds of thousands in use today. Our goal of producing high quality inexpensive products here in the United States is being met. Designs are based around SAE, UL, and marine standards along with many years of experience working in the vehicle related field. Along the way Entratech has invented and manufactures many other products, currently holding patents on a new water in fuel sensor concept for marine inboard gasoline sensing, the safety parameters for this are very important. Other products like the High Water Alarm, Hingemate, Stud-Pro and the Infoplate Plus came along as we saw new and unique ways to do things in every day life; patents are pending for two of these. Our facility has the equipment to not only design and manufacture water in fuel sensors but to support these products with a full line of metal machining, plastic injection molding, along with wire and terminal processing equipment. Quality is always an interest and from the beginning it has been our goal. We have adopted quality control programs based on our customers' requirements, some desire QS9000 or ISO9000. Though we are not currently certified we have been implementing these for years, doing PPAPS, First articles, In process reports, Bar code AIAG shipping labels, EDI and all that is associated with these programs. Being a small company allows us to have much tighter control on quality control. Thank you. |
